The Concept

Wholesome life transformation focuses on young adults’ ages 18 to 40 years old.

The Declaration of Independence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”1.

The above declaration of Independence states an eternal reality that most of us believe. And that is, that all men, including young men and women, are created and endowed by their Creator-God, with certain unalienable Rights; that God, The Creator, created not only all men and women, but the heaven and the earth and all things that are there in: visible and invisible, thrones, dominions, principalities and powers by Jesus Christ2; and that God created all men and women in His image and likeness to reflect His nature of holiness, righteousness, love, peace, truth, justice and goodness3Read more»

The Challenges

Many research organizations, including National Adolescent Health Information Center and Research-Gate have shown that violent behavior- homicide, suicide, injuries and substance use- peak during the adult years.1 According to research, motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death for young adults. Other forms of injuries are drowning, fire and burns, poisoning and falls.2 Research indicates that homicide is the second leading cause of death for young adults. Young adult males have higher homicide rates than females. Homicide rates peak in young adulthood and then decrease throughout their lifespan.3 Research also shows that suicide accounts for 11.2% of all death for young adults, making it the third leading cause of death for this age group.4 Research data has also shown that the rate of substance use increases for young adults for all racial and ethnic groups. And that substance dependence or abuse is higher for young adult males than female peers.5Read more»
